Steve Cowley - Are these paid or unpaid positions?

28:56
Hi Steve, do you provide any WBL experiences for your 11th grade students?

29:20
Great presentation Steve...well explained!

29:54
We do not require it be paid, however most of them are paid. The exception many times is healthcare which is unpaid.

29:59
Thanks Steve!

Most of our experiences are for 12th grade, or level 2 students. Sometimes we have a 11th grade student who came to us as a 10th grader and I place them during their 11th grade year.

Can you give us an example of how you collaborate with a specific Careeer Tech Program? What is the process?

Hi Sandra! I can get you connected with Jeremy, but a lot of it comes down to the teacher reaching out to Jeremy about either a project they are doing as a class and/or something that they know of a student or small group of students doing. From there, Jeremy works to intentionally to connect students/their with individuals that can mentor their growth through their business and provide guidance on the steps that will make them successful and their ideas protected. I hope that helps!

01:03:18
Thanks Ann - I believe that answers my questions for now. Thank you!

01:03:51
great presentation Kyle and Jason!

01:07:18
Sandra, an example is with our Digital Media Program. I partner with the students in that regularly. If I have a student who owns a business with a need for digital content, I reach out to students in the digital media program. I facilitate a meeting with the student who owns the business and a digital media student. I just bring the two together, they then collaborate over time to create digital content.
